Wheatgrass, also know as Hard Winter Wheat or Red Winter Wheat is one of the basic disciplines of the Hippocrates Lifestyle Program.  Its origins trace back to Mesopotamia, with ancient Egyptians using it for its medicinal properties.  

Anne Wigmore, the founder of Hippocrates Health Institute, knew from her own personal experience, that wheatgrass as a part of a raw food diet would be beneficial for your overall health, and to help with serious illnesses.  Since the 1950's, wheatgrass has been accepted in the US for a myriad of health benefits, including help boost your immune system, digestion aid, and more.

Containing rich sources of Vitamins A and C,  wheatgrass also contains all the known minerals your body needs. The chlorophyll in wheatgrass, which gives it the vibrant green color, giving support as a body cleanser, and toxin neutralizer, and high levels of oxygen to your blood.  

A single 2 oz. shot of wheatgrass is nutritionally equivalent to 5 lbs. of the best vegetables you can buy.  Wheatgrass can be grown indoors on trays, making it readily available to anyone, no matter where you live.

Wheatgrass seeds are best stored in refrigeration (40 degrees Fahrenheit) , but can be stored at room temperature (appx 80Degrees)  if spaces is restricted.  Keeping wheatgrass seeds outside severely cuts down on their shelf life and is not recommended. DO NOT FREEZE.

Shelf Life : Refrigerated-4 years / Room temperature-6 months / Outside-1 month

Growing Cycle :  Soaking-8 hours / Rinsing -1 day (2 x per day)/ Planting 7 days

Production: 1 10 x 10 tray will produce 1 pound of wheatgrass, which will in turn produce 9 oz. of wheatgrass juice. Harvested wheatgrass can be kept in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
